Hear Our Voices: Recent Work from the Indiana Women’s Caucus for Art

Exhibition Dates:

First Friday Reception: October 3, 5 – 8 pm

This dynamic exhibition surveys recent art made by members of the Indiana Women’s Caucus for Art (IWCA). Working in an array of media–from oil paint and ceramics to felted wool, found objects, and fresco–the artists explore our relation with the environment, place, and generational legacies. Rather than reflecting a single sensibility or style, Hear Our Voices testifies to the diversity of creative voices across the Michiana region.

This exhibition was juried by Frances Jacobus-Parker, Curator of Exhibitions and the Collection at the South Bend Museum of Art. The local chapter of the Women’s Caucus for Art, the IWCA was founded in South Bend, Indiana in 1978 with the mission of creating and expanding opportunities and recognition for women in art.
