In celebration of the 16th Robert C. Shields American Series, Whip Stitch: Quilts are Contemporary Art, the Art League is holding a meet and greet with textile and fiber artist Helen Geglio.
Geglio is one of ten textile artist in the group exhibition WHIP STITCH: Quilts are Contemporary Art . She is local to the area, former arts educator in public schools and colleges. Currently she is full time in her studio practice exploring the connection between women, work and textiles. During in her gallery talk, she’ll be sharing insights into her practice.
We will offer complimentary appetizers from Victorian Pantry along with wine and other beverages as we enjoy the music of renowned recording artist Bill Bosler playing the hammered dulcimer from 5:30-6:30 in the Carmichael Gallery.
