Biennial 28

Now in its 28th incarnation, the South Bend Museum of Art’s all media Biennial 28 presents a diverse look into contemporary artwork made by artists living in the Midwest.
Plot
Large, free-standing fence or gate form consisting of a base into which five upright spikes are set. Four horizontal bars weave across the vertical posts.
Grudge Harvest
Silo-shaped cage of chicken-wire fencing topped with conical foor. Sil is about 1/3rd full of slag-like fabricated rocks, in the shape of hearts, some of which have hinges, hookds, bolts, and other locking devices.
Amplitude
Suspended sculpture made from recycled cd’s and dvd’s. Artwork is site specific and hangs above gallery entrances in sculpture corridor
Dialogue
Sculpture is comprised of 4 open rectangles linked in pairs, and is mounted on the outside of the Century Center building near the Rotunda entrance. The pairs of rectanges rotate through a conical path outward and slantwise from the plane of the wall
