This is About Me

(Middle School level)

Students use a ruler to practice basic layout skills. Using basic shapes to visualize and manipulate foreground and background relationships, students create increasingly more complicated compositions through a challenge presented by a few simple rules. A short reading assignment on the psychology of color allows students to focus on their own personality traits, making psychologically informed color additions to their compositions, followed by an introspective writing activity.
