Drop In: Figure Drawing: Thursdays

resumes March 21, 2019 for the Spring session for 8 weeks.

Portraiture:  Figure Drawing & Painting
Thursdays: 6:30-9:00 PM

Whether you are a beginner or seasoned artist, advance yours skills of drawing & painting the human form. These sessions utilizes a mixture of short and long poses in order to hone individual skills, including: anatomy, observational exercise, gesture, contour, tonal and color modeling, and more. We try to present various opportunities through life models for you to practice portraiture with either clothed or nude figures.  These drop in sessions will be facilitated by Austin Brady (who received his B.F.A. of Fine Art from the College for Creative Studies in Detroit and M.F.A. from the University of Notre Dame, and is currently a professor at Holy Cross College) who will also be available to answer questions and provide light instruction each week.  Work with materials of your choice, charcoal, acrylic or oil paint is recommended.  Located upstairs in Studio #2.

Sessions are open to anyone ages 16 and up.  A parental consent form needs to be completed for anyone under the age of 18.

Punch Card: $64.  *Additional Model Fee, $5 per week payable prior to each class OR pay in advance $40 check payable to South Bend Museum of Art due at your first class.  A punch card is good for 8 classes and is transferable until all punches expire.  It will be issued the first class you attend.
