Dye & Weave with Jennifer Zona

Description: Learn to make your own alternative grid-style weaving with Jennifer Zona. This one-of-a-kind workshop will consist of choosing and dyeing wool pieces, then finger weaving off a loom. You will create your own unique and interesting textile fiber wall hangings. All materials provided.
Shibori Fabric Dyeing with Ninette Delyannides

Come Dye with us: Fabric Patterning using Shibori Folds, colorfast dye and paint. No prerequisite skill is needed.
In this four hour workshop we will collectively: mix, monitor, and learn how to vat dye with Procion mx dye; use Shibori fabric folding techniques to create two different patterns for the vat dye; create multiple pattern samples; and drip dye two additional pieces of fabric based on our created samples.
This process may permanently color the clothing or shoes that you wear, so please dress accordingly. Bring your own lunch, and if possible, bring your own iron. Irons will not be dyed nor damaged in the process. End goal: 4 pieces of cotton fabric with four different patterns, 2 vat dyed, 2 drip dyed. You can take these pieces home and display them as is, or incorporate them into your next project!
