ANNOUNCING THE 2022 REGIONAL SCHOLASTIC ART & WRITING AWARDS
Northwest Indiana and Lower Southwest Michigan Art Region
Congratulations to all awardees! You have received recognition in the 2022 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, presented by South Bend Museum of Art! The list of works below is organized by school.
The work(s) of art listed below will be included in the Regional Exhibition at the South Bend Museum of Art.
The drop-off schedule for awarded work is Friday, January 21 between 3:00PM and 5:00PM, and Saturday, January 22 between 12:00PM and 3:00PM at the South Bend Museum of Art in the Warner Gallery. Work must arrive ready to hang or display. Please include with your work information to identify the work to our Museum staff as per the specifications found in the downloads section on our regional webpage at artandwriting.org, and any special display or handling instructions. PLEASE COORDINATE DROP-OFF WITH YOUR TEACHER.
This year’s reception for artists, families, and teachers will take place on Saturday, February 5, from 12-5PM, as an open house featuring artist demonstrations, music, and more. Please join us at the South Bend Museum of Art to celebrate the exceptional work awarded in the 2022 Scholastic Art Awards. Entry is free and open to the public.
The Award Ceremony will take place virtually again this year on Sunday, February 12 and will premiere at 11:00AM on youtube, www.southbendart.org, and the South Bend Museum of Art’s social media pages. You are able to download your certificate from the https://artandwriting.org/ or wait until your teacher picks up your work after the exhibition.
The Exhibition will remain on view in the Warner and Community Galleries until Saturday, March 12 at 5PM, and the work must be picked up Sunday, March 13 between 12:00PM and 3:00PM. If you submitted through your school, please coordinate pick up with your teacher.
This is a remarkable achievement! Your work was recognized by a panel of creative professionals as the most outstanding work submitted among your peers and is included in a museum exhibition! CONGRATULATIONS!
