Not Your Ordinary Event Space
The SBMA galleries offer a unique venue for a variety of social gatherings, ceremonies, cocktail receptions, business meetings, and after-hours business functions. Guests enjoy the unique ambience of the galleries and browsing through the museum's collection and works by regional artists on display.

The Carmichael Gallery provides a unique venue for a wedding rehearsal dinner or cocktail hour. We cannot accommodate wedding receptions as the group sizes and needs tend to be beyond our capacity.

Accommodations

The Carmichael Gallery can accommodate small gatherings to large cocktail receptions (up to 150), offering a range of culinary possibilities — from appetizers to a sit-down dinner (up to 64 people) — with full service from our partner Century Center. Planning a stylish event is simple, and the caterer at Century Center, CenterPlate, can provide you with a large menu selection and experienced service. The SBMA is centrally located in downtown South Bend inside the Century Center, within convenient walking distance of downtown hotels and bed-and-breakfasts.
